For outdoor paving it’s best to choose clay paving bricks as they will be able to withstand more wear and tear than concrete. Clay is incredibly durable and weather-resistant whereas concrete can significantly erode overtime, especially under severe weather conditions.
As a minimum we would recommend paving bricks with at least 20 mm thickness. If you’re paving a high traffic area like a driveway, however, you might want to get pavers with about 50 mm thickness.
