A Garden to Inspire
This year’s RHS Malvern Spring Festival (2025) featured an exceptional garden built using reclaimed materials, designed by Marc Harbourne-Bessant of F.B & Sons Lawns and Landscapes. With a passion for sustainability and creativity, Marc crafted a garden that beautifully balanced aesthetics with eco-conscious design. His work was proudly on display among the UK’s finest horticultural creations, drawing admiration from festival visitors and judges alike.
Sustainability Through Reclaimed Materials
One of the garden’s most distinctive features was its thoughtful use of reclaimed materials. The project incorporated weathered stone and Yorkstone sourced from Cawarden, lending a sense of history and character to the space. At its heart stood five impressive stone monoliths, serving as a focal point that anchored the design. These elements, all salvaged and repurposed, reflect a commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable landscaping practices.
A New Life at Primrose Hospice
After the festival concluded, the entire garden found a new home at the Primrose Hospice in Bromsgrove. It was carefully relocated and reassembled to provide a peaceful and uplifting space for hospice patients and their families. This act of generosity ensures the garden will continue to offer beauty and comfort well beyond its time at the show, creating lasting value in a place where it is truly needed.
Recognition and Future Promise
Marc’s dedication and vision did not go unnoticed—his garden earned a well-deserved BRONZE Medal at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival. This recognition reflects the skill and creativity of Marc and his team at F.B & Sons. We’re proud to support such meaningful projects and look forward to being part of Marc’s future award-winning designs.
